About the Event

Embark on the ultimate three-day adventure with Ultrabug on May 29 - 31, 2026, a fully supported 100km ultra-marathon threading through the winding mountain footpaths and remote, culture-rich villages of Romania’s magnificent Carpathian Mountains. Voted one of the "50 Best Overseas Ultras" by Trail Running Magazine, this event is renowned for its vivid green meadows, mineral water streams, and unforgettable traditional hospitality. Runners and walkers of all fitness levels are welcome, with options ranging from the introductory Minibug 35km and the 8km Fun Run, up to the full 100km Solo challenge across three distinct stages. Based out of Casa Ileana in Fundu Moldovei, the race immerses participants in local delicacies and culminates in a customary medal ceremony and after-party joined by the Mayor. Finishers are also awarded 3 iTRA points, making the Ultrabug an essential qualifying race for other major international trail events.
