On January 24th and 25th, the ninth edition of the Ultra-Trail d’Angkor promises to be a great event: “trailers and marathoners” will have the privilege to walk on the archeological site of Siem Reap, in the heart of the temples of Angkor. This marvel of 400km2, a thousand-year-old relic of the Khmer kingdom will be their playground, over 100km, 64km, 42km, 32km, 18km or 8km. Six 100% trail circuits totally new and wild,… Also open to Nordic Walking and to walkers and hikers. The ++ The only race authorized to tread the natural and cultural jewel of the Angkor temples, UNESCO World Heritage. The only ultra of Cambodia. Approved by the Ministry of Culture, and the Cambodian Olympic Committee. An experience that is human, cultural, and a true sharing of the values of the Trail.

The town of Siem Reap (សៀមរាប), in northern Cambodia, is the primary access point for the Angkor Archaeological Park, just north of the city. It is quite laid-back and a pleasant place to stay while touring the temples. It is a nice compromise between observing Cambodian life and enjoying the amenities of modern services and entertainment, thanks to a large foreign community.
