ULTRA EXTREME 2026

On October 25, 2026, São Bernardo do Campo will host the Open Water Swimming Challenge, an invigorating event designed to promote physical activity and foster a love for swimming in natural settings. The race offers three categories: a solo 12-kilometer swim starting at 7 AM, a solo 5-kilometer swim beginning at 7:30 AM, and a team relay covering the same distance with each participant completing 2.5 kilometers, kicking off at 7:45 AM.
Participants must adhere to the race's regulations upon signing up and are responsible for any risks associated with open water swimming. The event features strict time limits; swimmers in the 12-kilometer category have six hours to finish or they will be picked up by a support boat provided by organizers.
The day is filled with vibrant energy, as competitors of all skill levels take on the challenge and enjoy the serene waters surrounding São Bernardo do Campo. After each race concludes, awards are presented for various age categories including 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and over 70 years old as of December 31, 2026. Additionally, there are special awards for the top three finishers in the PCD (People with Disabilities) category.
