Two Bays Trail Run - Magnetic Island

The Two Bays Trail Run 2026 is a unique afternoon trail event held on the stunning Magnetic Island, just a 20-minute ferry ride from Townsville. Scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026, the race is the only one in the region held on a Saturday afternoon, specifically designed to allow participants to enjoy a full weekend in paradise. The course traverses the island's diverse landscape, featuring palm-fringed beaches, massive granite boulders, and hoop pine forests, eventually finishing directly inside the Arcadia Village Hotel—just steps away from the bar and restaurant.

• -- Race Headquarters: The event commences from the Magnetic Island State School sports oval in Nelly Bay. Athlete check-in and race number allocation begin at 2:00 PM on race day.
• -- The Finish Line Experience: Uniquely, the race finishes inside the Arcadia Village Hotel. A bag transfer service is provided from the start line to the finish, so your dry clothes and belongings will be waiting for you at the pub.
• -- Travel Sponsor: SeaLink Queensland provides up to 17 return services per day. Registered athletes receive a discount on return ferry tickets for travel between Friday and Sunday. It is highly recommended to take an early morning ferry (e.g., 8:45 AM or 9:30 AM) to enjoy the island and avoid terminal rushes.
