The trails are just different at night... Chase the sunset and run beneath the stars at the Twilight 10 Trail Run in the Cibola National Forest. Hosted by the race directors of the Cedro Peak Trail Run, runners in this inaugural event will start at dusk -- just as the sun dips below the horizon. As twilight fades into night, a stunning full moon will light your path through the beautiful 10 mile labyrinth of the Cedro Peak singletrack trail system. Keep your headlamp bright and your pace fast, as the woods at night belong to nocturnal creatures. It is rumored that the "Ghost of Cedro Peak" drifts through the forest when the autumn wind howls, watching runners from the shadows of the scrub oak and Ponderosa pines. Face your fears, embrace the cool October mountain air and experience the thrill of nocturnal trail running by the light of a full moon. Click the link above to our website for more details about the course, link to map, cutoffs and other information.
No refunds or transfers. Headlamps and/or other approved light devices (no cell phone lights) are mandatory at race check-in. The race director reserves the right to cancel the race due to adverse conditions beyond our control, i.e., National Forest closures, wildfire threat, etc. The race director reserves the right to modify the course due to National Forest Service guidelines that may be in effect.
Races simply cannot take place without the help of a team of volunteers. We are always in need of volunteers and volunteering is a great way to contribute to the running community and to see your friend/family member on the course! Bring a friend or two and spend a day out in the mountains with us! We will feed you and provide you with some great race swag for your help! You can even run one of the races and still help volunteer. We are in need of aid station volunteers, parking coordinators, awards, sweepers, event set up and breakdown. Volunteers are eligible for reduced or free entry to a future Cedro Peak/Three Peaks Racing Event. If you'd like to volunteer, please click on the volunteer tab above or email the race director using the "ask a question" tab. Thank you!
