The Trails of the Scorff Valley Festival returns for its 25th edition, offering an unforgettable trail running experience from October 17 to 18, 2026. Located in Brittany, this event is part of the prestigious Challenge Ouest Trail Tour and Challenge Armor Argoat, making it a must-attend for seasoned trail runners. Registration opens on July 1 at 8 p.m., marking an exciting start to what promises to be another thrilling edition. Participants are encouraged to prepare as the festival will now require a PPS certificate in lieu of a medical clearance or valid athletics license—essential for all entrants looking to join this iconic race. The event features seven courses, including two unique Noz Trails held on Saturday evening. The Bihan Challenge combines an 8 km and a 12 km course, while the Bras Challenge merges a 12 km with a grueling 54 km route. For younger runners, there are dedicated children's races this year. On October 17, activities kick off early in the afternoon with the KM Vertical race covering 33 kilometers and gaining over 1000 meters of elevation. The Noz Trail 12 km will start at 8 p.m., followed closely by its shorter version, the 8 km, which begins at 7:45 p.m. Sunday’s schedule is packed with exciting races starting from dawn. Long-distance enthusiasts can tackle the grueling 54 km course, launching their journey early in the morning at 7 a.m. Alternatively, there are shorter options like the 27 km and 12 km routes that begin at 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., respectively. Both challenges remain as favorites among participants—completing either the Bihan or Bras challenge will provide runners with memorable experiences combining various distances on challenging terrain.
