Turkey Dash 5K and 2 Mile Walk

About the Event

Join the tradition of the Turkey DASH 5K and 2 Mile Walk on November 26, 2026, as families come together before Thanksgiving dinner. Gather your loved ones at Great Plains Lutheran High School for a morning run or walk that celebrates gratitude and community spirit. The event kicks off with packet pick-up starting at 9:00 AM and the race beginning promptly at 10:00 AM.
After crossing the finish line, enjoy hot apple cider, pumpkin pie, and warm chocolate to fuel you up before your feast. Awards for first, second, and third place in each division will be presented quickly so everyone can get home on time. Door prizes are also available but require attendance at packet pick-up to claim them.
Early registration is encouraged if you want a long-sleeve shirt; it's $20 per person (ages 13+), $5 for children aged 3-12, and free for kids under two with no registration needed. The deadline for online registration is November 25 at noon, so don't miss out!
Hosted by the Watertown Police Department’s DASH Program in partnership with Great Plains Lutheran High School, this event promises a warm welcome and memorable start to your Thanksgiving Day celebrations.
