Truro Half Marathon

Nestled in the heart of Cornwall, the Truro Half Marathon offers runners an engaging blend of urban and rural landscapes. The race begins at Lemon Quay with a scenic loop through central Truro before venturing out to picturesque coastal villages like Porth Kea and Playing Place, winding its way through Cowlands.
Participants will encounter several hills along the route, making it more challenging than flat courses but still enjoyable for runners of all levels. Although not ideal for setting personal best times due to its varied terrain, the course is perfect for those looking to experience a mix of natural beauty and historic charm.
The event kicks off at 9:30 AM sharp on Lemon Quay, with registration and number pickup available starting from 8 AM at Hall for Cornwall. This race forms part of the Cornwall GP Series 2026, sponsored by Cornwall Glass, but welcomes runners regardless of their involvement in previous races within the series.
Race organizers ensure a seamless experience through chip timing technology, though official results will be based on gun time. Team spirit is encouraged with prizes awarded to the top six finishers from each affiliated club. The event adheres strictly to ARC permit guidelines and enjoys coverage under both ARC's and UKA’s insurance policies for added peace of mind.

A bag drop area is available at the Pannier Market entrance on Lemon Quay, although it operates unsecured so use at your own risk.
Route management includes approximately 50 marshals stationed along the way to provide support and ensure that no runner gets lost despite limited road closures around central Truro and near the finish line. Most of the course remains open but quiet rural roads are marked for clarity.
Parking options abound in and around Truro's city center, with many within a short walking distance from Race HQ. Just be mindful of temporary road closures during race day to find your best parking spot.
To secure your place, note that refunds aren't offered but you can transfer it without charge via SiEntries until September 11th; no deferrals or transfers are allowed afterward as numbers will have been finalized by then.
