Trieste Spring Run 2026

The Trieste Spring Run 2026 marks a historic milestone as the Bavisela celebrates its 30th anniversary with the grand return of the full marathon to the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026, the event transforms the city of Trieste into a global running hub, attracting participants from over 52 countries. The weekend serves as the culmination of a week-long celebration of sport and culture, featuring the elite Trieste 21K (reputed as the fastest half marathon in Europe), the returning Trieste 42K, and the inclusive Bavisela Family Run. All major races culminate in the breathtaking Piazza Unità d’Italia, Europe’s largest square facing the sea.

The 2026 edition offers diverse challenges, from the technical, energy-management focus of the marathon to the high-speed flat profile of the half marathon.
