Trick or Trot 5K

Immerse yourself in the vibrant Dia de los Muertos spirit at the Triangle Trick or Trot 5K, held on October 25, 2026, at WakeMed Soccer Park. This festive run invites participants to don their most creative Halloween costumes and join a community celebration that combines exercise with cultural appreciation.
The race takes place along an off-road course within the picturesque grounds of WakeMed Soccer Park, featuring a mix of fields and wooded paths. Participants will enjoy running through diverse terrain while taking in the scenic beauty of the park's natural setting. The event promises to be both challenging and enjoyable for runners of all levels.
After crossing the finish line, participants can collect their personal bag of Halloween candy as part of the post-race festivities. For those who register by October 15th or until sizes sell out, a long-sleeve race t-shirt will also be included in the registration fee. Race day registration is available for runners who prefer to sign up on-site.
The Triangle Trick or Trot offers live results online so that participants can track their performance and share it with friends and family immediately after completing the 5K course. Awards are presented to top finishers, including overall male and female winners as well as age group champions in several categories ranging from 15 & Under through 80+.
Registration fees vary based on age and date of sign-up:
- Ages 18+: $33 until September 30th; $37 October 1st - 21st; $40 for race day registration.
- Ages 17 & under: $24 until September 30th; $27 from October 1st to 21st; and $29 on race day.
Race Day Schedule:
Registration opens at 8 AM, with the 5K starting promptly at 9 AM. The event encourages runners to arrive early for a chance to explore the park before the race begins.
Participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the course map in advance and come prepared for an engaging experience that blends physical activity with cultural celebration.
