Trek Des Gazelles By Mélanie invites women to embark on an unforgettable adventure through some of Morocco's most breathtaking landscapes. This unique and empowering trek celebrates its 12th year in 2026, offering three distinct editions that cater to a wide range of interests and experiences.
The Mer Edition takes place from October 19-24, 2026, beginning in Essaouira, the city of trade winds. Participants will traverse over 80 kilometers across four days, with an average daily distance of about 20 kilometers. This journey is not a competition but rather an immersive exploration through stunning coastal scenery, including rugged cliffs sculpted by wind and waves, dense forests of argan trees, and pristine white-sand beaches.
The trek begins on the beachfront of ancient Mogador, where participants are greeted by the rhythmic sound of ocean waves. As they follow in the footsteps of dromedaries across vast stretches of untouched coastline, majestic cliffs adorned with argan groves come into view. This edition offers chic and authentic bivouacs that enhance the natural beauty of each campsite.
In addition to the Mer Edition, two other exclusive treks are planned for 2026:
- The Exclusive Edition runs from May 18-23 in Ifrane National Park, inviting adventurers into one of Morocco's largest cedar forests. This edition is limited to just 50 participants.

- The Desert Edition takes place November 30 - December 5, venturing deep into the heart of Saharan dunes and ancient caravan routes. With space for only 100 women, this legendarily challenging trek offers a unique blend of historical exploration and natural beauty.
Inspired by Mélanie's personal journey in raising awareness about pediatric cancer, these treks are more than just an adventure; they're a commitment to making a difference. Since its inception in 2014, Trek Des Gazelles By Mélanie has dedicated 10% of registration fees towards supporting children with cancer through partnerships with local oncologists and the Franco-African Group for Pediatric Oncology.
In keeping with their ethos, these treks emphasize sustainability by promoting circular practices to minimize environmental impact. They also support women's autonomy in a community-based economy, fostering empowerment at every step along the way.
