TRANCOSO RUNNING KIDS 2026

On October 22, 2026, the Quadrado de Trancoso will come alive with energy and excitement as it hosts the Trancoso Running Kids race. This unique event is designed to encourage physical activity, fun, and inclusivity among children aged one to twelve years old. Participants can choose from three age-specific distances: a 50-meter dash for kids between ages 1-4, a 100-meter sprint for those aged 5-8, and a more challenging 200-meter run for the older group of 9-12 year-olds.
The race takes place in the picturesque Quadrado de Trancoso square, where children will experience an atmosphere filled with joy and camaraderie. Each child who registers not only gets to participate but also helps provide another opportunity for a local child from underprivileged backgrounds through partnerships with regional social projects and NGOs.
Registration includes various perks like official t-shirts, bib numbers, medals, and other fun giveaways. The event ensures safety by organizing staggered starts according to age groups and providing on-site medical support.
While the focus is on having fun rather than competition—there's no time-based ranking—the day promises a memorable experience for all involved. Parents are required to accompany their children throughout the race if needed, ensuring everyone stays safe while enjoying this special event in Trancoso.
