The 4th Edition of the Trail du Sou de Tournon is scheduled for Sunday, May 10, 2026, in the historic town of Tournon-sur-Rhône, France. Participants are rewarded with locally sourced regional products and a post-race meal, emphasizing the event's focus on Ardéchois hospitality and local terroir.

Tournon-sur-Rhône is a charming sub-prefecture of the Ardèche department with a population of approximately 10,500 residents. The town is famous for its majestic castle and its location within the prestigious Hermitage wine region. The demographic profile is largely French (approx. 96%), with a median household income of roughly €21,800 per year. Geographically, the trails navigate the rugged hills of the Ardèche, featuring steep vineyard slopes and technical forest paths overlooking the Rhône River. The 2026 routes have been redesigned to offer fresh challenges, utilizing the granite-heavy terrain that defines the foothills of the Massif Central. The climate in early May is generally mild and ideal for running, though the exposed slopes can be quite warm during the midday sun.
Registration is managed through the Sports'N Connect platform, with early-bird pricing (1 euro per kilometer) available for the first 20 solo and 3 duo entrants for each main race. Prices are set to increase on April 2, 2026. All participants receive refreshments and a meal at the finish line, along with gifts of regional specialties. The race village at the former municipal pool serves as the central hub for bib collection and post-race festivities. For athletes tracking their international rankings, results from "Le Tour de Pierre" are automatically integrated into the global UTMB database.
