The annual Trail du Pic de Brau returns on Sunday, November 8, 2026, offering runners of all levels the chance to explore picturesque trails and challenging terrain. Participants can choose from four different trail races ranging in distance and elevation gain. For those looking for a full day's adventure, the 24-kilometer route offers an impressive climb with over 1,250 meters of ascent. The race begins at 8:00 AM, providing ample time to soak up the scenic surroundings while pushing through rugged terrain. A slightly shorter but equally demanding option is available for runners who prefer a more moderate challenge; the 19-kilometer trail features nearly 1,000 meters of elevation gain and starts just half an hour later at 8:30 AM. For those with less time or looking to ease into the event, there are two shorter courses. The 12-kilometer route ascends a total of 480 meters from its start at 9:00 AM, while the beginner-friendly 6-kilometer option offers a gentle climb and begins at 9:30 AM. In addition to these races, there is also an un-timed 6-kilometer hike starting at 9:35 AM for those who want to enjoy the trails without racing against time. Race-day registration closes half an hour before each event's start time, and bib pickup will be available both on-site in the village center at the leisure hall on Saturday evening or early Sunday morning. All races begin from the heart of the charming village at the town’s community hall, providing a festive atmosphere for runners and spectators alike. The finish line celebrations include podium presentations where the top three female and male athletes receive recognition across all race categories, creating memorable moments for participants. This event promises an immersive experience in both natural beauty and athletic challenge, making it a must-attend for trail running enthusiasts of every level.
