Trail de Sancerre

The Trail de Sancerre 2026 takes place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, starting and finishing at Champ Loiseau – Rempart des Dames in Sancerre, Cher, Centre-Val de Loire, France. • 2026 Special Edition: Sancerre AOP celebrates its 90th anniversary. The Ultra du Piton is a one-time event (2026 only) — 90 km, 45 teams of 2, unmarked orientation trail, three loops, last loop shared with La Magnum course.
• Ultra du Piton Application Process: Dossier by team from January 12 at 12:00 PM. If criteria met, invited to register on Protiming (February 16 for FFA licensees, February 18 for non-licensees).
• Registration Platform: Protiming for all races (except on-site for Le Dossard d'Or).
• Licensing Requirements (FFA): Accepted licenses — Athlé Compétition, Athlé Entreprise, Athlé Running, or "Pass' J'aime Courir" with medical validation valid on race day. Non-licensees pay a surcharge.
• Bib Exchange (Bourse aux dossards): Open via Protiming for buying/selling bibs.
• Private Land Restriction: Courses use private paths open only on race day. Only course profiles provided — no GPX/training on private property.
• Cutoffs: Magnum — 6h, Fillette — 3h, Démarrante — 1h20, Remontée — 50 min. Ultra du Piton specifics TBA.

• Vineyard Immersion: Courses traverse Sancerre's iconic hillside vineyards, perched villages, and panoramic views of the Loire Valley.
• Ultra du Piton Concept: "More than a race — a total immersion in the heart of the vineyard. Each loop tells a part of the appellation's history."
• Finisher Recognition: Medal for all finishers (specific to each race).
• Le Dossard d'Or Hike: Treasure hunt with riddles to find the "golden bib." First person/team to find it wins a wine-related prize. Free choice to solve riddles or just enjoy the hike. Includes fruit, cereal bar, water bottle, and Sancerre tasting at finish. On-site registration only (€8).
