Discover the wild, granite heart of the Cévennes at the Trail Margeride on 12-13 September 2026, a pure celebration of nature and sport in the historic Gévaudan region. This authentic, community-run event offers four trail distances and a randonnée, starting with a 10km semi-nocturne on Saturday and culminating in the epic 43km "Sobre los pas de la bestia" (2 ITRA points) on Sunday, all set in a breathtaking Natura 2000 zone. Run through ancient forests and over high plateaus above 900 meters, where the landscapes echo Canada and the air is pure, on courses that reward effort with immense tranquility. With its passionate local organizers, free children's activities, and a welcoming atmosphere that values environmental respect above all, it's the perfect post-summer challenge to escape and reconnect. Experience the true soul of French trail running in a region where every path tells a story and every finisher becomes part of the Margeride family.
