Trail de la grande marée

The Trail of the Great Tide, organized by the Aber Aventure association, invites runners to experience its inaugural edition on September 13, 2026, in Landéda. This unique coastal trail offers an exclusive opportunity for participants to explore the breathtaking landscapes and pristine beaches along the coast during a high tide coefficient of 100.
The race covers a distance of 12 kilometers through mostly sandy terrain accessible only during exceptionally high tides, providing runners with a rare glimpse into the dynamic nature of the shoreline. The event is limited to just 200 participants who will start their journey at 1:00 PM and have until 3:00 PM to complete the course.
Registration opens on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 6:00 PM, giving runners ample time to prepare for this special occasion. Participants must be over 18 years old and present a valid FFA license or PPS number from athle.fr. No paper medical certificates are accepted in compliance with current regulations.
The day of the event begins at 11:00 AM when bib collection opens at Camping des Abers, followed by an essential safety briefing at 12:40 PM before the race kicks off promptly at 1:00 PM. The trail is designed for complete self-sufficiency; runners should bring their own hydration and necessary gear to ensure a comfortable experience.
Landéda's natural beauty will serve as the backdrop, emphasizing the event’s spirit of community engagement and appreciation for local heritage. Organizers reserve the right to adjust or cancel the race due to adverse weather conditions or safety concerns but aim to make this an annual highlight during high tides in Brittany.
