The 5th Edition of the Trail de Juliau is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 2026, in Saint-Jean-le-Centenier, France. Located in the Ardèche department, Saint-Jean-le-Centenier is a picturesque village with a population of approximately 800, nestled between the volcanic Coiron plateau and the historical site of Alba-la-Romaine. The race is named after the legendary Juliau mountain, where Julius Caesar is said to have passed with his troops. Organized by Sport Nature Saint Jean (SNSJ), the event has quickly gained a reputation for its technical trails and deep immersion into the region's basaltic geological history.

The "La Basaltique" flagship course offers a journey through time, starting with the slopes of Juliau and transitioning to the black basaltic rocks of the Coiron plateau. Runners encounter the 13th-century Balmes de Montbrun troglodyte houses and the historic Tour de Mirabel. The route also passes through a former 1970s basalt quarry, providing a unique industrial-natural contrast.
