The Tour de Trail: Shawnee Mission Park North is the kickoff event for the 2026 Tour de Trail series, a "10k-ish" trail running and hiking circuit in the Kansas City area. Scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026, the race aims to introduce participants to local trail systems while supporting Urban Trail Co., a non-profit dedicated to trail maintenance. The course typically measures between 5.5 and 6.5 miles, navigating the single-track dirt trails of Shawnee Mission Park.

The series is designed to be inclusive, welcoming both runners and hikers with a generous 4-hour cutoff time. To foster diversity in the sport, the event partners with the Trail Mix Fund, which provides registration fee waivers for members of the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. Event Logistics and Participant Information:
