About the Event

Torbay Triathlon welcomes athletes of all ages and abilities, from beginners to seasoned pros, offering both junior and adult races on the Sunday. This festival is designed to be accessible for everyone who wants to experience the thrill of triathlon.
The day kicks off with a swim in Torbay's recently refurbished 25-meter pool, providing a controlled environment for participants to focus solely on their technique before transitioning into open terrain. From there, athletes move onto the Velopark’s smooth tarmac for cycling segments ranging from one lap to an impressive thirteen laps, depending on the category. The park offers cyclists a flat and fast course that is traffic-free, ensuring safety and allowing racers to push themselves without worrying about external obstacles.
The event concludes with a run through lush parkland, featuring either one or two loops based on your division. This scenic route provides runners with an enjoyable and challenging final leg of the race, while spectators can cheer from designated viewing points along the course.
In addition to individual races, there is also a relay category for teams looking to share the experience and excitement. Whether you're competing solo or as part of a team, Torbay Triathlon offers a memorable day filled with camaraderie, competition, and beautiful surroundings.
For those new to triathlons, this event provides an ideal introduction to the sport’s three disciplines in a supportive environment. Experienced athletes will also appreciate the well-maintained facilities and scenic routes that make every lap feel rewarding.
