About the event
Nestled at the southernmost tip of Tokushima Prefecture, the tranquil town of Aoya faces the Pacific Ocean and is renowned for its intricate coastline and thriving marine sports scene. This year’s race takes place in Shishioda, where participants can enjoy an abundance of tropical fish and coral during their swim.
The course offers two distinct classes: a serene 2.1-kilometer loop around Bamboo Island Marine Park, known for its calm waters, and a more adventurous 3.7-kilometer route that winds through the tumultuous waves of the Pacific Ocean and past scattered islands. Both routes provide unique opportunities to experience the rich marine life and stunning coastal scenery.
Participants are invited to immerse themselves in this picturesque setting and enjoy the full essence of open water swimming.
