Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Derbyshire’s rolling hills as you lace up for the Tissington Trail Half Marathon and 10k. This beloved race unfolds along the historic railway path that once connected Ashbourne to Buxton, offering a tranquil setting free from traffic congestion. Scheduled over two days—Saturday, January 23rd, and Sunday, January 24th—at 10:00 AM sharp, this event is designed for runners of all levels. The course features gentle uphill climbs on the outbound leg, transitioning to slight downhill descents as you make your way back towards Ashbourne. This unique terrain provides a challenging yet rewarding experience that culminates in an exhilarating finish. The race not only showcases breathtaking views across the Derbyshire Dales but also offers flexibility with two distance options and two separate days of racing. Whether you're new to half marathons or 10k runs, this event promises a welcoming atmosphere and exceptional scenery that will leave you inspired. Participants can look forward to receiving bespoke medals for their efforts, complimentary photographs capturing the day's highlights, as well as trophies and prizes awarded to top finishers in various categories. Early entry is highly recommended due to high demand; on-the-day entries are available but subject to availability at £45 for the half marathon and £35 for the 10k.
