Experience Denmark’s toughest — and possibly most breathtaking — trail race on Saturday, February 28, 2026. The Thy Trail Marathon takes you deep into the wild winter landscape of Thy, offering a running adventure unlike anything else in the country. Expect raw nature, unpredictable weather, and a course that feels rugged, remote, and absolutely unforgettable. You’ll travel through the windswept dune plains between Lodbjerg Lighthouse and Klitmøller, following sections of the historic Redningsvej. The route weaves onto narrow dune trails, descends to stretches of beach, enters dense mountain pine forests, and passes through charming coastal villages where fishing boats are still pulled ashore by hand. This is trail running at its purest — challenging, beautiful, and deeply atmospheric.
