Thonburirun#2

On December 20, 2026, Bangkok will host Thonburirun #2, an inspiring race that honors Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's commitment to healthcare. The event takes place along the Borommaratchachonnani Elevated Highway and finishes at Rama VIII Park near the foot of the Rama VIII Bridge on the Thonburi side.
Competitors can choose from three distances: a half marathon (21 km), a mini marathon (10.5 km), or a fun run/walk (5 km). The half marathon, in particular, features an elaborate flag-off ceremony at 3:45 AM, led by the Royal Thai Navy Band and culminating with the presentation of the prestigious Royal Trophy to overall winners.
The event not only celebrates athletic achievement but also raises funds for underprivileged patients through donations. Participants are encouraged to register early as spots fill up quickly; fees range from 650 Baht for the mini marathon and fun run to 850 Baht for the half marathon.
With a backdrop of Bangkok's iconic elevated highways and bustling cityscape, Thonburirun #2 offers runners an unforgettable experience. The race is organized by Thonburi Hospital in collaboration with Thonburi Healthcare Group Public Company Limited, ensuring a well-organized event that respects both competitors' efforts and the cause it supports.
