The Yeovil 10k 2027

On Sunday, April 4th, 2027, runners are invited to experience the Yeovil 10K, an exhilarating race that offers both newcomers and seasoned athletes a memorable day out. The event begins at 9:30 AM in the heart of Yeovil Town Centre, where participants will join the buzz of the Yeovil Half Marathon festivities.
The route is designed to cater to all levels of runners with its flat terrain and scenic beauty. Starting on fully closed roads within town, the race follows a path that mirrors parts of the half marathon route down to Ninesprings County Park. Here, runners will enjoy running through this picturesque park before continuing westward along Lysander Road towards Bunford Lane. At this point, the 10K and Half Marathon paths diverge briefly as they head in different directions.
After leaving the park behind, participants take a right turn near Leonardo Airfield and follow footpaths back into town, rejoining the half marathon route on their way to the High Street finish line. Spectators will be lining the streets, creating an electrifying atmosphere with cheers and applause that carry runners across the finish line.
Pacers from RaceNation Events are available throughout the race course, identifiable by their marked pacer t-shirts. These volunteers provide support for those aiming to achieve specific times, such as 38, 40, 42, 45, 48, 50, 52, 55, 58, 60, 62, 65, 70, and 75 minutes. Runners can chat with these pacesetters before the race to plan their strategy.
For those who wish to listen to music during the run, UKA Rule T55 S5 permits only bone-conducting headphones. Event organizers will strictly enforce this rule; runners wearing in-ear or non-bone conducting headphones risk disqualification and jeopardize future licensing for such events.
