About the Event

As Halloween looms over Blackpool, Darkness Falls on Herons Reach invites runners to embrace the eerie night with a spine-tingling 5km run. This isn't just any race; it's an adventure through the shadows where every step could bring you face-to-face with ghosts and ghouls.
The event begins at 7:30 PM, casting participants into a world of darkness illuminated only by their headtorches. The course is designed to challenge your courage as well as your physical stamina, winding through dark paths lined with surprises that will test even the bravest souls.
Fancy dress is strongly encouraged for this hauntingly fun event, adding an extra layer of excitement and creativity to the night's festivities. Prizes are awarded to individual race winners in various categories, celebrating those who not only complete the run but also embody the spirit of Halloween with their costumes and bravery.
Participants will navigate through a landscape transformed by the eerie atmosphere, making this more than just a run—it’s an experience that blends fear and fun for all ages. Join us as we celebrate the spooky season in style at Herons Reach.
