The Rattlesnake Ramble 5K/10K/Half Marathon

Step into the rugged beauty of China Camp State Park this spring as the Rattlesnake Trail Party returns on March 14, 2027. Participants can choose between live and virtual options for three distinct distances: half marathon, 10K, and 5K.
The race begins with a lively atmosphere at Miwok Meadows Staging Area in Santa Venetia, California. The 5K course offers some technical terrain but remains relatively flat, providing an accessible introduction to trail running. For those seeking more challenge, the 10K includes single-track trails and nearly 1,000 feet of elevation gain and loss.
The half marathon presents a stout test with over 1,700 feet of ascent and descent across technical terrain and winding single tracks. This course is recommended for seasoned trail runners who are comfortable tackling challenging distances.
Participants should note that refunds or credits will not be issued due to unforeseen circumstances such as wildfires, hazardous weather conditions, or personal scheduling conflicts. In the event of race cancellation, all participants will receive their swag items by mail and detailed guidance on how to explore the course independently.
Join us for a day brimming with adventure and camaraderie in one of Northern California's most scenic trail parks.
