The Next Loop Endurance Weekend invites runners of all levels to embark on an unparalleled adventure at Indian Camo Creek Park in Foristell, Missouri. Scheduled for January 1, 2027, this unique endurance event offers four distinct distances — the 50K, 50M, 100K, and 100M — all set along a single repeating course that challenges participants to push their limits while maintaining control over their race strategy.
The Next Loop is designed for both newcomers to ultra running and seasoned veterans. New-to-ultra runners can enjoy the supportive environment with full aid station coverage and close crew assistance, ensuring they have everything needed to tackle this ambitious challenge. Veterans will appreciate the opportunity to experiment with pacing, fueling strategies, and testing their endurance in an open-ended format.
The event’s core concept revolves around earning each mile individually through repeated laps on a well-marked course. Runners can adjust their pace based on how they feel at any given moment, knowing that every completed loop counts as an official finish regardless of the final distance achieved. This flexible approach allows participants to set and achieve personal goals without feeling pressured by predetermined cutoff times.
Aid station support is robust throughout The Next Loop weekend. Located centrally near the Start/Finish hub, runners can expect a variety of refreshments including water, sports drinks, chips, cookies, candy, pickles, salted potatoes, and late-night bacon to keep them fueled through long hours on the trail. Personal gear storage facilities are available at Big Maumelle Pavilion or directly from vehicles, enabling quick changes in footwear and clothing as well as easy access to personal nutrition supplies.
Family members, friends, crews, and spectators are welcome to spend the day supporting runners with encouragement and assistance where needed. Pacers can accompany athletes for any distance, ensuring they stay safe and confident throughout their journey. All participants must carry water while on the trail, and headlamps or lights are required from dusk until dawn.
Recognition is a key aspect of The Next Loop experience. Custom finisher items will be awarded to all completers: 100 Mile Finishers receive custom buckles, as do 100K runners; meanwhile, those who complete the 50M Night Challenge and 50K earn custom medals.
