About the Event

December 31, 2025 | Noon ‘til the LAST SNOUT STANDS | Somewhere Magical & Merry | Flying Pigs Sanctuary Fundraiser

Welcome to the chaos. Welcome to the cold, possibly muddy hills of East Tennessee. Welcome to The Last Snout Standing, where the trails are twisty, the vibes are festive, and every grueling, belly-laugh-inducing step helps save the lives of animals that need us most—pigs, pups, and critters big and small.

This isn’t your ordinary trail run. This is pure, unfiltered, epic New Year’s Eve trail madness. No shortcuts. No quitting. Just dirt, determination, and a party that will make you question your life choices at the aid station.

RACE FORMAT:

The core concept is simple… but devilishly hard: runners must complete 2 designated loops (roughly 3 miles, it's hilly AF) within one hour. Every hour, a new loop begins, and the clock never stops.

The Pause: The time remaining after you finish a loop and before the next hour begins is called the pause—your only chance to rest, refuel, and recover. But there’s no set rest period; it depends entirely on how fast you run the loop. The faster you go, the longer your pause. The slower you go… well, your pause might be just a breath or two.

The Hour Is Sacred: The goal is to be back at the starting line ready to run when the next hour strikes, no matter how long it took to finish the previous loop. Miss it, and you’re out—no exceptions.

Strategy: Savvy runners balance speed with stamina, adjusting their pace to maximize rest while staying safe from elimination. It’s as much a game of mental endurance as physical grit.

Mental Challenge: Each hour tests your focus, patience, and willpower. You’re not just running the trail—you’re running against yourself, the clock, and the lure of the EPIC New Year’s Eve aid station party.

The question isn’t just who can run the farthest—it’s who can survive the loop, the hour, and the snout-tempting party energy until the very end.

Time: Run until you literally can’t stand anymore. Noon start, go until the last snout is standing. Think you can resist the EPIC NYE party at the aid station? Bonfire, live band, champagne, and all the snacks you can handle… temptation is real.

WHY YOU DO THIS:

Because you want the most insane way to say goodbye to 2025.
Because you love dirt, hills, and pushing yourself while everyone else is sipping cider and bubbles.
Because the trail community shows up for animals when no one else does.
And mostly? Because every penny raised goes directly to Flying Pigs Sanctuary, giving rescued pigs, pups, and other animals a second chance at life.

WHO SHOULD RUN:

Trail lovers who laugh at exhaustion and celebrate in pain.
People who will sprint past champagne only to collapse into the bonfire glow later.
Those who believe the last snout standing deserves eternal glory (and maybe a pig hug and belly rub).
You. Yes, YOU. The one reading this with a mischievous grin.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Loops with enough hills to make your legs question your existence
Aid station debauchery: bonfire, live band, champagne toasts, and maybe a snack or two for the soul (or the pig in you)
A crowd of dirtbag, animal-loving runners who cheer louder than fireworks
Trail nicknames that will stick (or haunt) you for life
Surprise animal guests, hugs, and snouts galore
So lace up your trail shoes, grab your party spirit, and bring your biggest heart. Let’s run for the voiceless. Let’s toast the new year for those who can’t. Let’s see who the LAST SNOUT STANDING really is.

Need something a little less INSANE in the MEMBRANE??

Stretch those legs before you ring in the New Year with the Swine and Dine Run/Walk in the Woods- Spend up to 6 hours (1-7 PM) prancing on our trails to burn off the calories you will consume at the party as we cheer on the crazy Snouts!  This is not a race, just a great way to ring in the year and raise money for the animals!!

Camping & Glamping Options:
Tent camping is free and encouraged, but if it rains we’ll bus folks in—so plan accordingly.

Want luxury? Lemon Lane Farm glamping sites are available via silent auction! Cozy, charming, and perfect for post-run celebrations under the stars. Every dollar goes straight to Flying Pigs Sanctuary, helping more pigs, pups, and rescues find safety and love.

Bid, stay, and make your NYE weekend unforgettable—because saving lives is the ultimate party favor.
