The James Gang 5K Run & Walk Fundraiser

The James Gang 5K Run & Walk Fundraiser returns to Burlington, Massachusetts on September 27th at 9:30am. The race will start and finish at Burlington High School in the heart of downtown. This event attracts participants from all over the region who come together for a morning filled with camaraderie and support.
Race day finds runners gathered under the trees lining Main Street, where they get ready to take off. On that crisp September morning, temperatures hover around 18 degrees Celsius, making it feel just right for a run through the city's autumnal foliage. The atmosphere is lively as participants warm up before heading out on their journey.
Since its inception in 2024, this event has grown to become a significant fundraiser and awareness campaign benefiting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and promoting NARS1 gene disorder research. With over 350 participants each year, it's clear that the community values what The James Gang stands for deeply.
The race will cover a firm yet slightly soft terrain of 5 kilometers, offering a challenging but rewarding course through the city parks and streets. Runners can expect to pass by several landmarks including the downtown park and the historic Burlington High School itself as they complete their route. Along the way, there's a water stop for hydration and music at the finish line to celebrate the end of this memorable event.
