The Blue Circle 5K/10K Run/Walk

Join the Blue Circle Run on November 7, 2026, at Mandalay Event Center to support Diabetes Dayton, an agency of LifeCare Alliance dedicated to improving diabetes prevention and management within the Greater Dayton community since 1963. This event offers a chance for runners and walkers alike to contribute to vital programs such as free ADA-accredited education classes, essential supplies for uninsured individuals, and summer camps for children with Type 1 diabetes.
Participants can choose between two distances: a scenic 5K walk/run or a more challenging 10K run. The event features an early packet pickup on Friday, November 6th from 4pm to 7pm at the Diabetes Dayton office, allowing you ample time to prepare for race day. On Saturday morning, registration and packet pick up will be available until 8:45 am at Mandalay Event Center.
The Blue Circle Run is a community-driven event with options to enhance your experience by creating personal fundraising pages or purchasing long-sleeve shirts or hoodies in addition to the standard short-sleeved race shirt. Virtual participants can also support Diabetes Dayton without attending in person, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to make a difference.
Race day kicks off at 9 am sharp with the 10K runners leading the charge and followed by the 5K participants shortly after. The course is timed by Key Sports, known for their reliable service, but please note that headphones or earbuds are discouraged as they may prevent you from hearing important instructions.
While race medals have been discontinued to keep costs low and support Diabetes Dayton's programs more effectively, all registrants who meet the shirt deadline will receive a commemorative event t-shirt. Blue circle-themed attire is strongly encouraged to show your commitment to this cause.
Registration fees are $30 for both distances if you sign up between April 1st and September 30th; after that period, prices increase slightly but remain affordable at $40 for the virtual race option or in-person events. A pace limit of 15 minutes per mile applies strictly to the 10K run.
In case of unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather conditions or public health concerns, organizers reserve the right to convert this event into a virtual race with no refunds offered under any circumstance. However, participants will still have opportunities to collect their merchandise at designated locations post-event.
