The Blood Run takes place around Lennox, South Dakota on September 4th to 6th in 2026, offering various endurance running events for participants of all levels. The event is held at an organic vegetable farm located just south of Lennox, where runners will loop through the fields and pastures over distances ranging from three hours to two days. Participants can expect a flat course with well-traveled dirt paths that wind around acres of farmland.
On race morning, temperatures are expected to range between 50°F (10°C) at dawn and rise no higher than 80°F (27°C), offering comfortable conditions for the duration of each event. The UV index is moderate, typically reaching a level of five during peak hours when runners will be on course. The Blood Run was inspired by the local monument named Blood Run and celebrates its origins with an endurance running event that mimics the life of an organic vegetable farmer. Since 2011, this unique race has grown from humble beginnings into a community tradition supported by over 450 participants in 2025 who contribute to The Good Earth farm's mission of growing vegetables for local communities.
The course follows a 1.5 mile loop around the organic vegetable fields and pastures at The Good Earth Farm, with no significant elevation changes along the route. Each lap passes by one fully stocked aid station equipped with flush toilets. Runners are encouraged to camp on-site or park nearby during their event for convenience.

Participants can register through the official link: https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=134563. The early bird pricing is available until July 3rd for all events except the 24-Hour Relay which requires a team of four and has an additional deadline on August 7th.
Bib pickup will occur at the farm grounds between 8am to midnight on Thursday, September 3rd. Runners must bring photo ID and confirmation email from registration if needed. Start location is situated at 28318 466th Avenue in Lennox, SD. All events accommodate runners aged sixteen years or older.
The Blood Run concludes its weekend event series with the final lap back to finish line at The Good Earth Farm near Lennox on Sunday, September 6th, providing a unique and immersive experience for endurance athletes looking to connect with nature and support local agriculture in South Dakota.
