The Big 50 Trail Run is celebrating its 10th anniversary on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at F.D. Roosevelt State Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia. Organized by the Revolution Running Company, this event is notable for being the first point-to-point trail race in the Pine Mountain area. The course spans the entire Pine Mountain Trail, starting at the radio tower in Warm Springs and finishing at the Liberty Bell Pool, offering participants an immersive experience through Georgia's largest state park.

The Pine Mountain Trail follows the southernmost ridge of the Appalachian Mountains, resulting in a series of sharp climbs and descents on rugged single-track trails. In early May, Pine Mountain typically sees warm, humid spring weather with average highs of 26°C (79°F). Due to the potential for heat and the remote nature of the ridge, all participants are required to carry a hydration system. The 50K route includes four aid stations at miles 5, 11, 16, and 23, while the 25K route features two stations at miles 5 and 11. Logistically, since the race is point-to-point, participants have the option to purchase a bus ticket for transport from the finish line at Liberty Bell Pool to the starting trailhead in Warm Springs. The event concludes with a community cookout at the finish line. Registration includes a unique 10th-anniversary hat for those who sign up by April 15th, and all finishers receive a commemorative medal.
