Explore the scenic countryside of Stephens County at the 2026 Fall Foliage Festival Bike Ride on Saturday, September 30th. This year marks the fifth edition of this popular community event, offering routes to suit all skill levels and interests. Riders can choose from five distinct courses that weave through picturesque landscapes: - The Whispering Pines Loop (15 miles) for those seeking a leisurely pace. - The Rolling Hills Route (28 miles), perfect for intermediate cyclists eager to tackle some gentle climbs. - The Mountain View Challenge (40 miles), an exhilarating ride with stunning vistas and more challenging terrain. - The Longhorn Trail (60 miles), designed for seasoned riders looking for a serious challenge. Each route is clearly marked, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. With strong support teams stationed along the way, you can focus on pedaling without worry. Adult participants pay $50 to register; this fee includes an event t-shirt and lunch at the festival's signature barbecue. Youth and children under 12 ride free of charge, though pre-registration is required for a guaranteed shirt size. Register early to secure your spot! The day begins and concludes in the charming setting of Breckenridge City Park. Following the ride, enjoy live music from local favorites Max & Heather Stalling as you savor mouthwatering barbecue dishes. Kids will find plenty of fun activities too. All net profits benefit the Breckenridge Volunteer Fire Department, ensuring that local heroes are well-equipped for their vital work.
