Team Relay Running Event @ Rubislaw

On October 7, 2026, the Rubislaw Hockey Pitch will come alive with youthful energy as local schools gather for an exciting team relay competition. Designed specifically for young athletes aged between 8 and 11 years old, this event offers three distinct categories to accommodate different age groups: P3 pupils (typically ages 7-8), P4-P5 teams (ages 9-10), and P6-P7 participants (ages 11).
Each team consists of three members who must work together seamlessly as they navigate through a series of relay races. The event promises to be both challenging and fun, encouraging teamwork, speed, and coordination among the young competitors.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Rubislaw Hockey Pitch, this day will showcase not only athletic prowess but also camaraderie and school spirit. Parents and spectators are invited to cheer on their favorite teams as they race across the well-maintained grounds, creating a lively atmosphere filled with encouragement and support.
The relay races are carefully designed to test each team's ability to run efficiently while passing off batons in quick succession. With clear markings and enthusiastic organizers guiding them through the day, participants will have plenty of opportunities to demonstrate their skills and enjoy the competitive spirit.
This event is more than just a race; it’s an opportunity for young athletes to bond with teammates, gain confidence on the field, and celebrate their achievements as part of their school community.
Whether you are part of one of these teams or there to cheer them on, this day promises to be full of excitement, laughter, and memorable moments.
