About the Event

The festival is held at the sports field of Showa Kinen National Government Park in Tachikawa, easily reached from central Tokyo, on a serious course that partly overlaps the one used for the Hakone Ekiden qualifier. Pacers are provided, so it works well for tuning up or logging mileage ahead of a main race.
Running options are 5 km, 10 km, the half marathon and 30 km, a half marathon relay for teams of three or four, a 2 km mini marathon, a parent-and-child pair marathon over 2 km and a challenge run aimed at young children. There are also 5 km and 10 km walks, which pass through areas of the park that are normally closed to the public.
