Sussex Downs Trail Run 2027

The Sussex Downs Trail Run invites runners to explore the stunning South Downs National Park in Mid-Sussex. This race offers three route options: 21km Half Marathon, 15km standard distance, and 10km for a more manageable challenge suitable for all levels of experience.
Runners start on a gentle 3.5km stretch through tree-lined paths before tackling the rewarding ascent to the South Downs Way. The climb is rewarded with panoramic views over the Sussex countryside, including glimpses of Seven Sisters Country Park and distant sea vistas.
The route then loops along sturdy trails towards Brighton before returning to the scenic South Downs Way for more breathtaking scenery. A descent from a hilltop leads into a flat final 3km stretch that brings runners back to the finish line with energy still in their legs.
Participants will enjoy the mix of challenging climbs and varied trail terrain, making this event an unforgettable adventure through one of England's most picturesque landscapes.
