Course and Terrain

The races utilize the mountain bike (MTB) trail system maintained by the Friends of Off Road Cycling (FORC). The experience varies significantly between the two distances.

- Technicality: The 10K course is 90% dirt single track and includes technical sections with sharp descents and climbs. The 5K is more suited for rookies, following flatter "green" trails.
- Sustainability: This is a cup-free race. Runners must carry their own hydration equipment or use the custom B&B mug provided at registration.
- Weather Contingency: If trails are closed due to rain, a "Plan B" course is used, consisting of grass double track, horse trails, and paved paths.

Performance and Logistics

The event is highly competitive locally, with top performance records often hovering around the 38 to 42-minute mark for the 10K distance.

- Registration: Online only. Registration typically fills very quickly. The deadline for t-shirt orders is May 1st.
- Packet Pickup: Available Thursday and Friday nights at Stompbox Brewing and Sunderbruch Park, respectively, as well as race morning starting at 8:00 AM.
- Kids Race: A free trail race for children 10 and under is held on Friday night at 6:00 PM at Sunderbruch Park.
- Location: Participants should park in the main north lot off Telegraph Road. Carpooling is strongly encouraged due to limited space.
