Held along the picturesque beachfront promenade in Southbourne, just east of Bournemouth, this event offers stunning coastal views while celebrating the iconic sounds of The Smiths and Morrissey.
Participants can choose their own distance from 5K to ultra-marathon on a flat tarmacked route that is officially measured by AUKCM. Whether you're a casual runner or an endurance athlete, Southbourne's 'out and back' course provides flexibility for all abilities, making it ideal for both beginners and seasoned runners.
The race day atmosphere encourages participants to embrace the quirky theme with optional accessories like quiffs, NHS glasses, rosaries, hearing aids, and gladioli. The event runs from 8am to 3pm, allowing flexible start times so you can begin when you're ready. Finishers of a lap or more will receive an impressive metal vinyl-inspired medal.
On-site amenities include a Run DMC aid station at the start/finish line for each loop, offering drinks and snacks throughout the day. Public toilets and showers are conveniently located along the promenade to ensure your comfort during and after the race.
