Stockholm Trail Run

STHLM Trail Run is an urban trail running competition scheduled for Sunday, April 26, 2026, held within the scenic Norra Djurgården area of Stockholm, Sweden. Organised by the athletics clubs Hässelby SK and Spårvägens FK, the event focuses on high-quality single-track running, technical terrain, and dense forest paths. The race is designed to be accessible for both beginners and elite athletes, providing professional timing and a central event hub at Fisksjöäng, just minutes from the Stockholm city centre. All proceeds from the event are reinvested into local athletics programs through the promoting clubs.

The race takes place in Norra Djurgården, a historic Royal Park that forms part of the world's first National City Park. Geographically, the terrain is a mix of ancient oak forests, rocky outcrops (bergshällar), and narrow, winding paths that require constant technical adjustments. In late April, the Stockholm climate is often crisp and vibrant; average daytime temperatures reach 11°C (52°F), providing cool and efficient running conditions. The event area at Fisksjöäng is highly accessible via public transport, located a 10-minute walk from the Ropsten metro station or a short 15-minute bicycle ride from Stureplan.

Logistically, the event employs a tiered pricing structure that increases as race day approaches, with registration remaining open until one hour before the first start. Competitive prizes are awarded to the first male and female finishers in each distance, though winners must start in the first wave to be eligible. The entry kit includes a bib with an integrated timing chip, on-course hydration, and a commemorative finisher's medal.
