Steinachtallauf

The 34th Steinachtallauf is a traditional trail running event scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Stadtsteinach, Bavaria. Organized by SG Biathlon Stadtsteinach e. V., the race is centered at the Steinachtalhalle and features a variety of distances ranging from a 450-meter sprint for toddlers to a challenging 21.2 km half-marathon distance. The event is known for its demanding topography, utilizing a mix of forest paths, trails, and asphalt through the scenic Steinachtal valley and the Bavarian State Forests.

Registration for the event is available online until April 17, 2026. On-site late registration is possible on race day starting at 12:00 PM for an additional 5 € fee. A significant environmental policy for this event is the no-disposable-cup rule; participants must bring their own drinking vessels or hydration packs, though folding cups may be available for purchase on-site. The "Hauptlauf" features extensive age-group scoring from W/M 20 up to W/M 90. All participating children receive a medal, and results are published online via raceresult immediately following the race. Parking is designated at the local swimming pool and tennis facilities, as the immediate area around the hall is reserved for the start and finish zones.
