Steel Athletics Norwegian Foot October 2026 Saturday, October 10, 2026 | Guam Steel Athletics is proud to host the Norwegian Foot March (NFM) — a challenging 30 km (18.6-mile) military endurance march that tests physical fitness, mental toughness, and determination. Originally established by the Norwegian Armed Forces in 1915, the Norwegian Foot March has become an internationally recognized endurance challenge completed by military members and civilians around the world. Participants will complete 30 kilometers while carrying a weighted ruck and must finish within the qualifying time established for their age and gender category. Event Details Date: Saturday, October 10, 2026Distance: 30 km / 18.6 milesLocation: Navy Base GuamStart: Mass start — exact start time and race-day schedule will be announced prior to the event. The Challenge Participants must complete the full 30 km course while carrying the required ruck weight. Official completion requirements, weight standards, qualifying times, course information, and race-day procedures will be provided to registered participants and posted prior to the event. Rucks will be weighed before the march. Participants are responsible for ensuring their equipment meets all event requirements. Who Can Participate? The Norwegian Foot March is open to eligible military members and civilians who are prepared to take on the challenge. Whether you're pursuing an official qualifying completion, returning to improve your previous performance, or attempting the Norwegian Foot March for the first time, come ready for 30 kilometers of grit.
