St. James Alumni Holy Strides 5K Run

The Holy Strides 5k, hosted by the alumni of St. Joseph and St. James Catholic School, invites runners and walkers to join on January 30, 2027, for an inspiring start to the year. This family-friendly event celebrates faith, community, and future growth at the heart of Seguin, Texas. Participants will gather at the St. James Family Center Gym, located at 507 S Camp Street, where they can enjoy a warm-up before taking off on a scenic course through familiar streets.
The race is not exclusive to alumni; anyone looking for an uplifting way to kick off their new year is welcome. Early registration guarantees participants a free t-shirt and the chance to collect a finisher medal upon completion of the 5k or kids mile run. Post-race, runners can warm up with a complimentary cup of hot chocolate while enjoying food trucks on site.
Awards are given out for top male and female finishers in various age categories (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, etc.), as well as special recognition for the youngest participants. The event also features a selfie station where runners can capture their race-day moment with their medals.
Registration fees start at $30 for early sign-ups and include packet pickup on January 29 or morning of the race. Don't miss this opportunity to support St. James Catholic School while enjoying a day filled with community spirit and friendly competition.
