Springfield Hospital Center's Mental Health Day 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk

On October 18th, 2026, join the Springfield Hospital Center for its annual Mental Health Day 5K and Fun Walk. The race begins at 9:00 am sharp with a timed competition offering prizes to both male and female top finishers. All participants will receive medals upon completion of their run or walk.
The event takes place in Sykesville, Maryland, where runners can pick up their packets starting from 8:00 am at the designated location on Sykesville Road. The Fun Walk starts promptly at 9:15 am and is open to all ages and fitness levels.
This year's theme, "Move for Mental Health," aims to raise awareness about mental health issues while promoting physical activity as a tool for well-being. Participants will not only enjoy the scenic route around Sykesville but also benefit from educational tables set up by local community partners such as Sheppard Pratt and Maryland National Alliance on Mental Illness.
These organizations, along with representatives from the Town of Sykesville, provide valuable resources and information to help attendees better understand mental health challenges and available support systems.
