About the Event

The race is a loop timed trail race at South Mountain Reservation on April 12, 2025 The loop is 1.88 miles (just over 3K). We will offer 1 loop, 2 loops, 1 hour, 3 hour and 6 hour. Great for that April training or if you want to get in a trail marathon / 50K.

The race will take place on some single track, pavement and fire road.

We will start on bear lane near the dog park. The course will run in a clockwise direction. It will go down crest drive/crest trail and then onto the red trail and then back on bear lane trail.

About South Orange

South Orange is a historic suburban village located in Essex County, New Jersey. It was formally known as the Township of South Orange Village from October 1978 until April 25, 2024. As of the 2020 United States census, the village population was 18,484, an increase of 2,286 (+14.1%) from the 2010 census count of 16,198, which in turn reflected a decline of 766 (−4.5%) from the 16,964 counted in the 2000 census. Seton Hall University is located in the township.
