The 8th annual Spence Mountain Run takes place on Saturday, 30 May 2026 at 19040 Eagle Ridge Road, Klamath Falls, Oregon. Organized by the Linkville Lopers, this event features four distances—50K, 30K, Half Marathon, and 5 Miler—on a course that is 95 percent single track trails and 5 percent forest and logging roads. Registration closes on Thursday, 28 May 2026 at 11:59 PM PT, with race day registration allowed but no meal included (meals must be preordered). The cutoff time for all races is 3:00 PM.

No early starts will be allowed due to limited volunteer availability. All runners must begin at their designated start time. The cutoff for all races is 3:00 PM sharp, meaning participants must complete their distance before that time regardless of start time.
Race day registration is permitted, but runners who register on race day will not receive a meal—meals must be preordered in advance. Food tickets are included for the 50K, 30K, and Half Marathon distances. 5 Miler participants need to purchase a meal ticket as an add-on.
Course maps are available in the event images on the UltraSignup page. The Half Marathon course and 30K course have been created on Strava with direct links provided. The 50K consists of one lap of the Half Marathon course followed by one lap of the 30K course.
Running Y Resort has offered a discount rate on rooms. Use the code "Spence" to receive the special room rate. Running Y Resort is the closest overnight accommodation near Spence Mountain, featuring a gym, pool, hot tub, walking trails, restaurant, and other amenities.
Aid stations are strategically placed across all distances. For the Half Marathon: Junction 5 at mile 5, Junction 5 again at mile 8, and Junction 7 at mile 11. For the 30K: water-only at mile 4.5, Highway 140 at mile 9.2, water-only at Northstar Junction at mile 12, and Junction 7 at mile 15.5. For the 50K: Junction 5 at mile 5, Junction 5 again at mile 8, Junction 7 at mile 11, water-only at mile 17.5, Highway 140 at mile 22.2, water-only at Northstar Junction at mile 25, and Junction 7 at mile 28.5.
The Spence Mountain Run features 95 percent single track trails and 5 percent forest and logging roads, offering a true trail running experience in southern Oregon. The Linkville Lopers have hosted this event for eight years, with the current course now in its fifth year of use.
Past results from 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 are available. The event welcomes runners of all levels, from the 5 Miler to the challenging 50K. Register before 28 May 2026 at 11:59 PM PT to secure your spot on the trails of Spence Mountain.
