About the Event

Leafy Wahroonga streets. Kokoda Hill. Views over Ku‑Ring‑Gai National Park. The Kuringgai Chase Fun Run returns on Sunday, June 14, 2026, starting and finishing at Claude Cameron Grove. Choose 10 km (two laps), 5 km run, 5 km walk, or the 2 km dash — a flat, fast course for all ages and abilities. An inclusive family event that brings together Special Olympics Sydney Upper North Shore Club, Ku‑ring‑gai Council, Knox Grammar School, and local supporters. A$25 discount for children in 10 km or 5 km.

The Course:

Start/finish at Claude Cameron Grove, Westbrook Avenue, Wahroonga (North Shore of Sydney)
Leafy residential streets, shaded sections, and bushland views
"Kokoda Hill" — a challenging climb named after the famous Kokoda Track, a test of leg strength and mental grit
Views over Ku‑Ring‑Gai National Park from the higher sections of the course
5 km loop is well‑marked with volunteers at key turns
2 km course is flat and family‑friendly — no hills, perfect for young children or first‑time runners

Inclusive & Accessible:

Open to all ages, abilities, and fitness levels
Special Olympics athletes receive discounted entry (A$10 for any distance)
Companion Card holders also qualify for the A$10 rate
Wheelchair and stroller friendly (2 km and 5 km walk specifically)
Accompanying adult category for 2 km dash — untimed, so parents can run alongside their children
