The journey begins at the iconic Herne Hill Velodrome, where you’ll enjoy coffee and croissants before setting off on an epic ride through legal trails. Over 65% of the route winds its way across natural terrain, gravel paths, cycle tracks, and single-track forest trails, providing a diverse mix that challenges your skills while offering breathtaking scenery.
From England’s oldest grotto to medieval maps leading into Purgatory and Epsom racecourse, this ride unveils South London's lesser-known treasures. The trail is peppered with cut-throughs, byways, and bridleways rarely explored, making for a unique and memorable experience.
Midway through the route, you’ll be greeted at a comprehensive feed station where you can refuel on snacks that are among the best-equipped offerings available. The event takes place on Sunday, 18th May 2025, starting early in the morning for an all-day adventure. The climb totals either 900 meters or 1350 meters depending on your route choice, ensuring there’s plenty to challenge even the most experienced riders.
