Orienteering enthusiasts are invited to experience high-intensity, fast-paced navigation on school grounds as part of the Saturday Orienteering Series Term 4. This series offers an exhilarating mix of quick courses and social relays designed for both solo runners and teams of up to four participants. Each week features a fresh map with unique route choices and challenges that encourage rapid decision-making and strategic thinking. Participants can expect intense navigation around buildings, courtyards, stairs, and open areas within the Northern Beaches Christian School campus, creating an engaging environment where everyone has the chance to improve their skills alongside fellow orienteers. The event opens at 9:30am with social relays starting promptly at 11am. Coaches are on hand throughout the day to assist runners in refining their navigation techniques and enhancing overall performance. The series is inclusive, welcoming all skill levels from beginners looking for a warm-up course to seasoned orienteers seeking more challenging routes. Participants can enjoy a friendly and upbeat atmosphere as they tackle courses tailored for speed and precision. Whether you're driven by competition or simply curious about the sport, this event offers something unique and invigorating. The campus setting transforms into an exciting playground of discovery and challenge each week with new layouts and intricate map details to explore. All participants will receive results that track their progress throughout the term, making it easy to see improvements in navigation skills over time. Entry fees are $18 for adults (with a 15% discount available for members using promo code "ONSW") and $15 for school students with the same member discount option. The event takes place at Northern Beaches Christian School on Echunga Road, Terrey Hills NSW 2084. SPORTident timing is used across all courses; those without a card can hire one for an additional fee of $4 per entrant. Normal entry fees include GST and merchant fees, with late entries incurring a $2 surcharge if submitted after midday on the Thursday preceding the event. Join us to discover the thrill of school-ground orienteering and experience a morning filled with active fun and social interaction unlike any other weekend activity.
