Soldier On Veterans Day 5K

On Veterans Day, Soldier On and Berkshire Running Foundation come together to present the 5K run/walk at Dalton American Legion. This annual event not only raises crucial funds for veterans facing challenges but also fosters a supportive community dedicated to their well-being.
Registration fees are $30 until November 1st and increase to $35 from November 2nd through November 7th, with day-of registration costing $40. Students can participate at no cost. All proceeds benefit Soldier On's vital programs for veterans in need.
Participants will receive technical race shirts as long as the first 100 registrants sign up early enough. The event kicks off at 9:00 AM sharp on November 11th, with bib pickup available from 7:30 to 8:30 AM that morning. Free and ample parking is provided at Dalton American Legion.
The race route offers a scenic course around the local area, culminating back at the legion for post-race refreshments and camaraderie. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in each age category (ages 0-12 through 70+), along with overall winners.
An awards ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 AM, where all prize recipients will receive their well-deserved accolades. To ensure everyone's safety, no dogs or pets are permitted on the course; however, wheelchair and disabled push stroller accommodations can be made upon request by contacting organizers beforehand.
Porta-potties and water stations are available at both the start line and finish area to keep runners hydrated throughout their journey. Given the event’s planning well in advance, refunds cannot be issued for any reason, including cancellations or postponements due to unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather or health emergencies. In these rare cases, participants will receive a virtual race entry along with all original race swag.
